BREAUX VINEYARDS

Breaux is a massive estate, more than 400 acres, with 104 acres planted in 18 grapes varieties (at this writing). Given Breaux' aspirations - and impressive forward momentum - you may soon be picnicking among the vines. Literally.

The Breaux family started the winery with 3 acres in 1985, opened their doors in 1997, and now regularly win competitions for their bottlings. Sitting on the Tuscan-inspired patio outside the tasting room, you'd think Breaux has always been there. They've definitely got the formula figured out, and if you doubt that for a minute, stop by for the annual Cajun festival in June. The crowds will have you thinking you've stumbled upon a state fair or something.

A recent expansion of the tasting room building adds space for classes (Breaux launched the Virginia School of Wine in 2015), special events, and an ever-growing tasting room crowd. They've even got a tasting room set aside for patrons with pooches! The views from the patios and lawns are dynamite.

Expanded food choices now go beyond the traditional cheese, bread, meats, and chocolates to include hot items that change weekly, such as panini, brisket, BBQ, Jambalaya, and baked pretzels.

At the winery: Very popular wedding destination (up to 300 guests); private events; picnics and groups welcome (details below); friendly dogs welcome (except on ticketed event days); children welcome; light snacks available for a nosh on the patio; bus, RV and limo parking available.

The long list of wines includes Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Nebbiolo, Chardonnay, Vidal Blanc, Viognier, Seyval Blanc.
Group tours and group tastings are available with advance reservations.
